CUPE
The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) is Canada’s largest union. With more than half a million members across Canada, CUPE represents workers in health care, education, municipalities, libraries, universities, social services, public utilities, transportation, emergency services and airlines.  The CUPE Saskatchewan Education Workers' Steering Committee represents over 4500 non-teaching staff in schools across the province.

Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation (STF) was formed in 1933 and given statutory recognition by the Saskatchewan Legislature in 1935 by An Act Respecting the Teaching Profession. Teachers were required by that statute, also referred to as The Teachers' Federation Act, to be members of the Federation as a condition of their employment.
